3 Cube Design can purchase your chosen domain name (subject to availablity) and set it up to display your website once the site is live.
To help search engines to find your site, it is recommended that your domain name (URL) contains words that actually mean something. For instance, if Joe Bloggs from Kent is a plumber and is having a website to promote his business, there is no point him having a URL like www.joebloggs.co.uk. People will not be searching for Joe Bloggs, they will be searching for plumbers, so it would be better to have something along the lines of www.plumbingserviceskent.co.uk, even if the company is called Joe Bloggs. All packages automatically come with a .co.uk URL, although you can purchase a .com in addition or instead of the .co.uk if preferred. Once your site is live, if you decide to transfer your domain name to another company, there will be a small handling charge. Email Forwarding
When purchasing a domain name, we can also set up email addresses for you (if required), which can then be forwarded on to your chosen email account. You can select up to 4 prefixes, for example, sales@domainname.co.uk, info@domainname.co.uk, admin@domainname.co.uk and enquiries@domainname.co.uk. These could then be set up to be forwarded on to joebloggs@hotmail.co.uk.
The advantage of email forwarding is that you don't have to change your existing email address and the emails displayed on your website still look professional. |
