 Simply Franklin Mint is a site dedicated to selling Franklin Mint products. With a similar setup to our own online shop, Simply Franklin Mint relies more on imagery to navigate around the site. For instance, in addition to the catergories at the top of all pages, they have also been made into a feature on the home page, (top image left hand side - click to enlarge). As there are various types of model vehicles, this category is split down into further sub categories and again the sub categories are prominent on the vehicle 'home page', (second image left hand side - click to enlarge). The remainder of the categories are not filtered as much and so items can be selected from the menus on the left hand side that appears when a main category is selected. Franklin Mint produces very prestigious models and so in keeping with this, it was decided that rather than a basket for customers to add their items to, it would be more suitable to change the usual basket icon to that of a gift bag.
The functionality of the bag is largely the same as the other shops, except for the way the information is displayed.The bag page gives a summary of all items in the bag, states a sub total, gives the postage cost and then gives the full total. The images of the items shows underneath this summary. As with all basket/bag pages, it is easy to update the page, remove items, continue shopping or go to the checkout pages, (right hand image - click to enlarge)
