Selling Christmas tree decorations and Christmas ornaments, Mrs Christmas was one of our first e-shop clients and in that time, it has had one re-design to accomodate new categories of stock and to keep up with web standards. This is an example of the standard e-shop package. It has what we call "one-level" navigation, meaning that as soon as you click a category from the list on the left hand side, the results for that category are shown (as shown in the image to the left - click to enlarge). It is that easy.
The user can then click on an item in the list to bring up more details and if they choose to, add the item to their basket (right hand image - click to enlarge). From the basket page, the user can easily update the items in the basket (i.e. remove them or change quantities etc), navigate back to the main shop or proceed to the secure checkout page.
Once customers are happy with the items in the basket, they can simply go through to the checkout by clicking the button. Here they are presented with a form (as shown on the left - click to enlarge), of which all parts will need to be completed. For reassurance, Mrs Christmas shows the WorldPay logo at the bottom of the form to show that the payment section is completely secure and safe. We recommend that the WorldPay logo is present on your site, but it does not necessarily have to be shown here. When the order has been submitted, a unique order number is created for your customer. When they make an online payment, WorldPay will also give them a unique payment number. If your customer has any queries at any time, they will only need to quote you their order number that your website generated for them (and not the payment number).
